Extra dates for Dinner with the Stars
Posted on 03 August 2010 at 01:01 PM
Due to popular demand Mt Hutt is putting on extra dates for it’s ‘Dinner with the Stars’ experience which will now run throughout September.
This new evening experience up at Mt Hutt began in July and proved a sell out up to the end of August.
People have flocked from all over the region to visit Mt Hutt after dark – and it hasn’t been just the tourists. Many locals have been taking up the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic meal at Huber’s Hut high-country restaurant, followed by a choice of outdoor activities including stargazing, groomer, skidoo and husky dog rides.
Mt Hutt Ski Area Manager David Wilson is thrilled with the response to Dinner with the Stars.
“We’ve seen corporate group bookings from Christchurch, personal dinners for two with clients visiting from Auckland, a few birthday celebrations and even an engagement”.
“There have been so many requests for bookings that we had to continue into September so we could try and fit everyone in!” Mr Wilson said.
The groomer, skidoo and husky rides have been a huge hit with adults and kids alike and all but the huskie rides will continue into September.
The dinner cost includes transport which departs Methven at 6.30pm, returning at 10.30pm. Minimum numbers apply.
