The Remarkables Opens for the 25th Season

A stunning day in the mountains was celebrated as The Remarkables opened for the 25th time today (Saturday 18 June).
Some hardy souls lined up from 6am to secure the highly coveted ‘first on the chair’ t-shirt.
The Remarkables opened with most facilities operating including all three chair lifts, beginner conveyer lifts, the Tararua Real Iced Coffee (TRIC) Terrain Park, The Burton Signature Park and The Stash. Alta Chutes, Homeward Run and Toilet Bowl opened for off piste enthusiasts later in the morning.
Ski Area Manager, Ross Lawrence said he was thrilled to welcome old friends back to the mountain and was looking forward to the line up of events to celebrate this 25th season.
