International Airports in New Zealand
New Zealand's Christchurch International Airport and Queenstown Airport offer convenient services from Australia for your ski holiday. Both airports are located close to the main ski regions of Canterbury, Wanaka and Queenstown.
Christchurch International Airport
Most international visitors enter the South Island through Christchurch due to the frequency and value of flights. The airport is approximately 15 minutes drive west of the central city and 90 minutes drive from the nearest ski fields.

Christchurch Airport's facilities
Christchurch Airport provides many different facilities for the convenience of all passengers and airport visitors, including travel and toursm bookings, baggage storage, baggage wrapping, baggage transfer, wireless internet access, retail shops, food and beverage services, postal services, meeting rooms, currency exchange and banks.
Transport from Christchurch Airport
Public buses run daily to and from the city, arriving half-hourly during the week and hourly on the weekend. The standard fare is $7.50 one way. Taxi and shuttle bus stands are located outside the international terminals. Taxi fares to the city are approximately $30 -$50 ; Shuttle buses $15 -$20 depending on destination and the number of passengers. Rental car company stands are located inside the terminal. Queenstown INTERNATIONAL Airport
Queenstown airport boasts one of the most scenic landing strips in the world. The airport is located in Frankton, approximately 10kms from central Queenstown. The airport provides many facilities for passengers and airport visitors, including and internet lounge and Wi-Fi, retail shops, food and beverage providers, currency exchange and ATMs, bag storage and key drop.

Transport by bus, car & taxi from Queenstown Airport
The Queenstown public bus network operates a daily service to and from Queenstown airport dropping off and picking up passengers at most central hotels and accommodation providers. Rental car information and phones are located in the arrivals concourse. Taxi stands are located outside the arrivals area. Taxi fares into Queenstown cost around $20 per vehicle.
Shuttle services from Queenstown Airport
There are two main shuttle companies operating from the airport. Their airport-Queenstown fares range between $7 and $10 per person. Shuttle information can be found in the arrivals concourse and at the information desk.
